Management
MOstafa MERZOUK - FOUNDER & MANAGING DIRECTOR
Mostafa founded Alcantara Advisory LLC in 2022, leveraging on a 15-year experience with leading international, regional and local banks in the financial hub of Dubai, United Arab Emirates during which he arranged c. USD 2bn worth of banking facilities.
Mostafa started his career in 2008 at Societe Generale HQ’s in Paris with the commodities trading desk, performing corporate credit and market risks analysis for the trading team. Having elected Dubai as home in the early 2010’s, he experienced the market correction endured by local corporates specifically by being part of the steering committee teams of Nakheel, Limitless, Dubai Group and other high-profile restructurings.

Ensued a 4-year experience at the largest UAE local bank, First Abu Dhabi Bank (formerly National Bank of Abu Dhabi), where he executed close to a 100 syndicated/club deal transactions in a wide array of sectors covering Real Estate, Manufacturing, Industrials, Energy, Shipping, Aircraft financing, Acquisition Finance, Hospitality, Shipping, etc...
His latest role was with a top-tier regional bank, National Bank of Kuwait (Dubai Branch), where he was a major actor of the development strategy. He initiated and nurtured C-level relationships with major corporates and managed to position the bank on numerous high-profile transactions despite a very competitive environment and the bank’s limited reach locally. He successfully closed c. USD 1 billion worth of transactions through bilateral & syndicated/club deal financings.
Mostafa holds a Bachelor’s degree in Finance from Sorbonne University, Paris and a Master’s degree in Portfolio Management from University of Paris 12.
